DDRR – Private Ranch Offering
The Double Diamond River Ranch is a working horse and cattle ranch (so always close the gates!) with an intense focus on fish and wildlife habitat. The Double Diamond is managed as a trophy fishery and the biomass of fathead minnows, crayfish, and suckers grow meat eating toads. At the DDRR you realistically can catch the trout of a lifetime in a wild/natural ranch environment.
Among our claims to fame is being featured in ESPN’s ‘On the Rise’, and its host Frank Smethurst said they caught one of the biggest rainbows they had ever caught on tape right here on our ranch.
The DD offers some of the most diversified waters on the western slope. Between half a mile of the Uncompahgre River and the Big Somo there are five private creeks and two private lakes are managed in combination to make a private trophy fishery that could be yours for the day. Be it still water or flowing these private waters contain toads that continue to surprise and awe us. To see more of the DDRR go to doublediamondriverranch.com.
