DDRR Private Water

Experience the Double Diamond River Ranch

The Double Diamond offers some of the most diversified waters on the western slope. At the DDRR you will find a private, 1/2 mile section of the Uncompahgre River, five private creeks including the Big Somo creek and two private lakes. These waters are managed in combination to make a private trophy fishery that can be your private water escape for the day. Be it still water, creeks or on the Uncompahgre River these private waters contain surprises that will bring memories for a lifetime.

Chase Trophy Trout without fighting the crowds

The Double Diamond River Ranch is a working cattle ranch (so always close the gates!) with  an intense focus on fish and wildlife habitat. The Double Diamond is managed as a trophy fishery and the biomass of fathead minnows, crayfish, and suckers grow meat eating toads. At the Double Diamond you realistically can catch the trout of a lifetime in a wild/natural ranch environment. Join us for a guided fly fishing trip on the breathtaking Double Diamond River Ranch, where you'll have the chance to catch trophy trout in one of the most beautiful and exclusive ranches in the country.

Testimonials

Sonia

Wonderful experience! Tadd is an excellent guide. Getting into the sport was a bit intimidating at first -- there are so many details to the art of fly fishing. However, Nolan and Tadd made it simple and adventurous. Highly recommend!

Devin

The guys in the shop really helped me out as I started out fly fishing. From recommending flies to tips and tricks when I explain some hardships. They have put me on several fish.

Tyler

I met Tadd fishing on the Uncompahgre River and he taught me practically everything I need to know about trout fishing! I ended up going to the fly shop the next day and he helped me get set up with an awesome fly rod set up! If I were to ever do a guided trip, I would definitely go here! Awesome people and they know what they’re doing! Thanks again!
