The Lake Fork of the Gunnison River has dropped to low flows and clarity is crystal clear leading to fish being skittish and spooky. Fish are still feeding actively in the deeper holes and runs. By fishing the deeper runs and holes, fish are less likely to spook and more likely to eat your bug. We have found that a light weight nymph rig is th emost productive right now as it allows for us to fish deeper in the holes. Fishing smaller buggers or a jig streamer on a euro nymphing rig has been consistenly finding healthy fish. The season on the Lake Fork is coming to an end quickly so gives us a call today to book your trip and experience this river!
