Causes We Support
The great thing about America is we can believe in different things and still enjoy our times together. We believe business should give back to their communities and their country and we support causes that help bless people’s lives. One of the causes we support is the Make A Wish Foundation. I have a nephew that went through their program and believe that little extra hope and fun is why he survived into the fine young man he is today. Montrose Anglers donates fishing (or hunting) packages to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego. Our auction trip donations raise as much as $2k to $5K for granting wishes. The foundation grants over 190 wishes a year and the average cost of a wish is $7K. We encourage you to consider making a donation to this worthy cause.
We also support the Wounded Warrior Project, Welcome Home Montrose, and Healing Waters; all these organizations support wounded soldiers. Welcome Home Montrose was founded to help make Montrose, Colorado a “No Barriers” city for our soldiers. Montrose is the first city chartered in the nation specifically for this purpose. Since returning from Afghanistan with a purple heart in 2010 these organizations have been a real help to me and my family during my recovery. I donate guided trips at my ranch and anything else I can contribute for these organizations and consider it an honor to do so. To help make these trips possible I have been making the ranch handi-cap accessible. However, one thing we still need is john boats that we can convert for wheel chair veterans. It’s the land of the free because of the brave. If you or anyone you know of wants to donate please ask me how you can help.
