Micro Metal

Micro Metal Hybrid Thread/Wire is a combination of thread, wire and metal with an amazing sheen. This material can be used to create a metallic effect thread that can be used for thoraxes as ribbing and bodies on flies from dries, nymphs to salmon and saltwater patterns.

As Micro Metal is lightweight it is particularly good as a rib on larger dry flies, where you don’t want the weight of a traditional wire but want that visible rib.

With a very thin core you can wind Micro Metal as it’s a soft metal tinsel over a core so that this can be used as both a thicker thread or just for tying ribs and bodies.
